Because you can lose every match, regardless of the gamemode, due to clone depletion. So all you people who don't care about your KDR in the sense that it leads you to end a match with 18 deaths and 1 kill can go **** yourself. Your bitchass fucks up your teammates W/L ratio with your bullshit.

Not to mention that Duna has an incredibly high KDR, which by your logic should equal a significantly high W/L ratio, but that isn't the case. My KDR is lower than 1, but my W/L ratio is above, and well above that of Duna.
KDR is insignificant.
I primarily play Ambush where KDR is very significant. |

KDR is insignificant.
Duna has a 4.21 W/L ratio. His KDR is high because he cruises around in tanks all the time.
Are you not able to reasonably assess the stats a particular player has in relation to the role they play in this game? |

Lol tard , clone depletion has everything to do with team play and keeping tight and not dying like a blueberry and nothing to do with kdr. Get gud scrub
Notice how you said not dying like a blueberry. Do you not see how that has a direct correlation with a KDR?
The problem I am seeing with a lot of you is that for some reason in your mind if someone cares about their KDR it means that is the only thing they view to determine if they are skilled or not. My primary objectives in this game is to win the match and score at the top of the leaderboards.
In the OMS Ambush match I had played that led me to start this thread as a means to vent 3 people on my team died close to 50 times combined; their kill count combined was 4. Those 3 people lost that match for the rest of the team and the KDR is a clear indication of that. |

KDR is a metric that directly influences players behavior. I argue that it is pointless, because of the bad behavior ie not hacking, not destroying equipment, snipping and others. I play 100% BPO in a Standard suit 95% of the time, my life time KDR is 1.4, and enjoy objective pubs. I am always pushing, and everyone can get a piece of me-I am noob friendly! I love DUST and frown upon my corp mates running anything higher than advanced, and have a self-imposed rule to not run PROTO in pubs. I can OMNI 5 proto suits and thier fittings. If you love DUST, and you say you're HARDCORE FPS, then pick up my challenge.
I used to run a standard fit in Ambush matches to gain ISK quickly. Now I am able to gain ISK quickly using an advanced fit. I use proto suits sometimes because...why the hell not? I skilled into prototype suits and weapons so that I can use them. I don't have time to wait 5 to 15 minutes just to get into a FW match just so I can use my proto suits. As a solo player it takes a long time for me to get into a FW match but I can get into a public match real quick. |
